A large part of the work for a project begins before you ever apply for a project.

Prepare a portfolio - We recommend you collect any design work that you have done up this point in a portfolio. Even if you only have a few projects, and even if it's only school work, having this readily available can dramatically increase your chance of receiving work through OrangeSlyce and otherwise. If you have any published professional work, provide it in your portfolio as well as any links or examples in the published context. Set up an account on LinkedIn - Establish a web presence and enter in some basic information about your professional background and skills. It is a common practice for your name to be Googled in the vetting process so you might also want to check your Facebook privacy settings.
